Empowering people in rural Tanzania to flourish

Our work is based in the Dodoma region of Tanzania, with our main site in the village of Lamaiti. 

We provide and enable education, training and support. Our priority is climate smart, sustainable agriculture, engaging with people of all ages, irrespective of gender, religion or tribal background. Our particular focus is knowledge growth in young people, whose present and future is most at risk due to climate change.

Friends of Empowering the Future is the UK charity established to support and financially resource Empowering the Future, Tanzania. This international partnership is inspired by friendship, family and our shared humanity.

It also happens that the Trustees and core members of the charity are Christians who feel called to do this work. Individuals volunteer their time, resource their own travel and derive joy from this outworking of their faith, which hopes and believes in fully empowered individuals and communities, whatever their starting point may be.
